At MAMM camps, students learn to play songs in a band and perform live at a local venue. Accomplished educators and members of local bands offer inside tips on self-promotion, booking, gigging, the history of rock, and music theory.

MAMM Summer Camps

Junior rock Camp

Ages: 12-18

Tuition: $850 [except 7/1 - 7/12, $775]

At this TWO-WEEK CAMP, students will be grouped into ensembles and learn how to play songs in their favorite genres, whether covers or originals. MAMM instructors lead bands through the process of selecting, rehearsing, and performing songs, while offering inside tips on self-promotion, booking, gigging, the history of rock and music theory. When not rehearsing, campers engage in music games and activities. Campers will participate in a final performance the last day of camp. • Some experience playing an instrument or singing required.

MAMM's Junior Rock Camp provides the youngest rock stars (8-12) with an opportunity to play in a band! At this TWO-WEEK CAMP, students are grouped into bands, where they are led by a MAMM instructor to select, rehearse, and perform songs. When not rehearsing, campers engage in music games, activities, and playground time. All experience levels are welcome—the only requirement is wanting to play music with other kids! Campers will participate in a final performance on the last day of camp.


Ultimate Teen Rock Camp


Girls Rock Camp

MAMM's awesome girl-focused Rock Camp! At this TWO-WEEK CAMP, students are grouped into bands, where they are led by a MAMM instructor to select, rehearse, and perform songs. When not rehearsing, campers engage in music games and activities. Campers will participate in a final performance the last day of camp. Female and non-binary musicians welcome!


Songwriting & Recording Camp

Ages: 12-18

Tuition: $850

Session I: 7/15 - 27/6 @ 144 Fore St

Hours: 9 am-3 pm, drop-off starts: 8:45 am & pickup ends: 3:15 pm

This TWO-WEEK CAMP is a songwriter's dream! During the first week of camp, campers will work together to write & rehearse original songs. Various approaches to songwriting will be discussed, and all students will be encouraged to bring their unique voices to the songwriting process. In the second week of camp, students will be guided through the recording process, using techniques and equipment similar to what they might have in a home-recording setting. Campers will participate in a final performance the last day of camp, and after the camp they will be sent a final mix of their original song. Some experience playing an instrument, singing, or writing songs required.


Brass Band Camp

Ages: 12-18

Tuition: $850

Hours: 9 am-3 pm, drop-off starts: 8:45 am & pickup ends: 3:15 pm

At this NEW ONE-WEEK CAMP, students will learn to play songs in genres where brass instruments are featured, such as funk, jazz, and soul. Horn players (trumpet, trombone, sax, etc.) and rhythm section members (drums, bass, keys, guitar) are all welcome! MAMM instructors lead ensembles through the process of selecting, rehearsing, and performing songs while offering inside tips on improvisation, gigging, and music theory. When not rehearsing, campers engage in music games and activities. Join us for this fun new camp! Campers will participate in a final performance the last day of camp.


Bangor Rock Camp

Ages: 10-18

Session I: 7/15-7/19, $400

Session II: 8/5 - 8/10, $450 [ages 12-18, collab with Bangor Overnight, below]

At this ONE WEEK CAMP, students will be grouped into ensembles and learn how to play songs in their favorite genres, whether covers or originals. MAMM instructors lead bands through the process of selecting, rehearsing, and performing songs, while offering inside tips on self-promotion, booking, gigging, the history of rock, and music theory. When not rehearsing, campers engage in music games & activities. Campers will participate in a final performance the last day of camp.


Bangor Overnight Rock Camp

Ages: 12-18

Overnight Tuition: $1,025

Daycamp Tuition (for day students only): $450 [M-F, 9 am - 3:30 pm]

Session: 8/4 - 8/10

Hours: Overnight: Sunday afternoon - Saturday morning

At this ONE-WEEK OVERNIGHT CAMP, students have the opportunity to learn and perform songs in their favorite genres and collaborate with campers at the adjacent Maine Media Camp! Overnight students arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Saturday after their midday performance. They will stay in the Husson University dorm rooms and dine in the Dining Center. During the camp day (9 am-3:30 pm), MAMM instructors lead bands through the process of selecting, rehearsing, and performing songs, while offering inside tips on self-promotion, booking, gigging, the history of rock, and music theory. In the afternoons & evenings, campers will have after-hours activities planned, as well as downtime to get to know campers from across the state and beyond. Join us for this amazing collaboration!

Augusta Rock Camp
